SPOKANE, Wash., Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Steven Gray led a balanced attack with 18 points Thursday and No. 22 Gonzaga pulled off an impressive 83-69 victory over Oklahoma.
A seven-point run midway through the first half gave Gonzaga a 22-10 lead on its way to a 52-34 advantage at intermission. Oklahoma came no closer than 14 during the second half and trailed by as many as 23.
Gonzaga improved to 10-3, its three losses having come against Michigan State, Wake Forest and Duke. Oklahoma (8-5) lost its second straight after winning six in a row.
Elias Harris added 15 for Gonzaga, Bol Kong had 14 and Matt Bouldin 12. Oklahoma was led by Willie Warren with 19.
The game was delayed early in the second half when a backboard shattered during a dunk attempt.
