FORT WORTH, Texas, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Asher Clark and Jared Tew scored two touchdowns apiece Thursday in a 47-20 rout by Air Force over Houston at the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth, Texas.
Air Force, the nation's 10th-ranked defense, also rose to the occasion with six pass interceptions against star Houston quarterback Case Keenum.
Tew gained 175 yards on 27 carries and Clark gained 127 yards on 17 carries.
The nearly unstoppable Air Force ground attack, using the triple-option, ran for 400 yards against a confused Houston defense.
Anthony Wright Jr made three of the six interceptions, Jonathan Warzeka scored on a 100-yard, third-quarter kickoff return and Erik Soderberg kicked two field goals for the Falcons (8-5), who won four of their final five games.
Keenum passed for 222 yards with one touchdown.
Charles Sims rushed for 67 yards on 15 carries, while Matt Hogan kicked two field goals for the Cougars (10-4), who lost their last two contests.
