AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Damion James put up 23 points and unbeaten No. 2 Texas forced 22 turnovers Tuesday, defeating No. 9 Michigan State 79-68.

Jordan Hamilton had 14 points for the Longhorns (11-0), who held the Spartans (9-3) to their lowest scoring total of the season.

Gary Johnson and Dogus Balbay each turned in three steals for Texas.

Chris Allen had 12 points and Kalin Lucas and Durrell Summers 11 apiece for Michigan State.
