NBA: Minnesota 112, Sacramento 96

MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Both Kevin Love and Corey Brewer scored 20 points Friday and Minnesota pulled away late to defeat Sacramento 112-96.

The Timberwolves, who shot 54.7 percent from the floor, won for just the fifth time this season.

Minnesota went on a 12-2 run early in the third period to take a 13-point lead and put the game away by scoring eight straight points in the closing minutes. Al Jefferson and Damien Wilkins contributed 16 points each for the Timberwolves.

Sacramento was led by 21 points from Omri Casspi. The Kings have a 10-3 record at home, but are just 1-11 on the road. They hit four 3-pointers in 27 tries.

Minnesota had lost its previous four meetings with Sacramento.
