TORONTO, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- Petr Prucha produced the game's first two scores Wednesday in helping the Phoenix Coyotes jump to a four-goal lead and the Coyotes went on to down Toronto 6-3.

Prucha delivered the only goal of the first period on the power play and scored another on a wrist shot 51 seconds into the second.

After Jamal Mayers brought Toronto within one, the Coyotes ran off three straight goals en route to their seventh win in nine games.

Radim Vrbata had an empty-net goal and an assist, scoring for the fourth straight contest. It was his team-high 11th goal of the season.

Ilya Bryzgalov made 27 saves to get the win in the second outing of a four-game road trip.

Toronto was trying for what would have been its first three-game winning streak of the year. Vesa Toskala allowed five goals on 28 shots.

Phoenix has won in its last four trips to Toronto, dating to Oct. 23, 2003.
