NHL: Florida 7, New York Islanders 1

UNIONDALE, N.Y., Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Florida's Nathan Horton scored a hat trick and added an assist Monday, helping the Panthers whip the New York Islanders 7-1.

Horton's hat trick was the second of his NHL career.

Michal Repik and Stephen Weiss each had a goal and assist and Radek Dvorak and Kamil Kreps added goals for the Panthers.

Florida goalie Tomas Vokoun blocked 30 shots.

Jesse Joensuu got the Islanders' goal and Dwayne Roloson gave up five goals with 18 stops before he was replaced in the third period by Martin Biron, who turned away three of five shots.
