ST. LOUIS, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- Gilbert Brule scored twice Friday and touched off a streak of five straight goals that rallied Edmonton to a 5-3 victory over St. Louis.
The Oilers produced four goals in the third period en route to their fifth straight win.
St. Louis appeared headed to a 3-0 lead after two periods, but Brule scored on a wrist shot with just 11 seconds left in the stanza to begin the Edmonton comeback.
Brule scored again 8:31 into the third, Sam Gagner tied it less than three minutes later and Shawn Horcoff put the Oilers in front with a wrist shot that came with 6:08 to play.
Dustin Penner's backhander produced his 18th goal of the season with 2:57 remaining.
All five goals came against Ty Conklin, who came into the game allowing an average of two scores per contest.
Jeff Deslauriers allowed three goals through the game's first 35 minutes, but eventually made 27 saves in winning his fifth straight start.
