COLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Steve Mason's flawless goaltending and first shutout this season Wednesday led the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 3-0 win over the Florida Panthers.
Mason was credited with 32 saves on 32 shots.

Goals were scored by Jason Chimera in the first period and both Derick Brassard and Samuel Pahlsson (unassisted) (empty net) in the third for the Blue Jackets, who broke a three-game losing streak.
Net-minder Tomas Vokoun was beaten twice on 31 shots for the Panthers, who have lost four in a row.
Columbus won its only contest against the Panthers 3-1 at Florida last season and has won four of its last six games overall.
On the power play, Florida went 0-for-3, and Columbus was 0-for-2.
