NEW YORK, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- The National Basketball Association fined Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah $15,000 Monday for throwing a ball into the stands during a game.

A ball tossed off the court by Noah during a 110-78 Toronto win over the Bulls in Chicago Saturday struck a photographer, a report on the NBA Web site said. The photographer apparently was not injured but Noah drew a foul and was ejected from the game.

Stu Jackson, NBA executive vice president of basketball operations, announced the fine.

"[Noah] has to control his emotions," Chicago Coach Vinny Del Negro said before the fine was announced, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
