SEATTLE, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Olindo Mare's second fourth-quarter field goal Sunday lifted the Seattle Seahawks to a 20-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
He kicked the game-winner from 30 yards out on the game's final play, capping a three-play, 39-yard drive following Nate Burleson's 21-yard punt return.
Matt Hasselbeck, back from a cracked rib, passed for 198 yards with two touchdowns and Julius Jones rushed for 67 yards on 20 carries. Mare's earlier field goal from 25 yards snapped a 14-14 tie with 5:30 left for the Seahawks (5-7), who have won two in a row.
San Francisco's Alex Smith completed 27-of-45 passes for 310 yards with two touchdowns.
Vernon Davis caught six passes for 111 yards with one touchdown and Joe Nedney added a 34-yard fourth-quarter field goal for the 49ers (5-7), who have split their last four contests.
San Francisco managed only 53 net rushing yards.
