COL BKB: Villanova 71, Dayton 65

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Corey Fisher's 18 points Friday paced sixth-ranked Villanova to a 71-65 win over No. 21 Dayton in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off in San Juan.

Villanova was up 37-29 at halftime and built its lead to 54-36 in the second period but the Big East school couldn't shake its Atlantic 10 opponent in the final 20 minutes. The Flyers pulled back to within 62-60 with about 2 1/2 minutes left before two free throws by Fisher helped seal the win.

Taylor King scored 14 with nine rebounds and Antonio Pena added 13 with eight rebounds for the 4-0 Wildcats.

Luke Fabrizius led Dayton with 16 points and eight rebounds.

Chris Wright added 15, Chris Johnson 13 and Mickey Perry 10 points for the Flyers (2-1), who advanced to the final with a 63-59 upset of 19th-ranked Georgia Tech Thursday.
