NHL: Washington 4, N.Y. Rangers 2

NEW YORK, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Matt Bradley's go-ahead goal with 4:51 left in the game pulled the Washington Capitals to a 4-2 win over the New York Rangers Tuesday.

Bradley's score came after he got the puck on a turnover by Rangers' defenseman Wade Redden, skated in on a partial breakaway and beat Henrik Lundqvist for the lead.

Capitals superstar Alex Ovechkin, who had missed the previous six games due to an upper-body strain, returned Tuesday, and it didn't take long for the Russian star to make a difference with a quick power-play goal for Washington. Brooks Laich and Brian Pothier also tallied for the Capitals. Mike Green, meanwhile, posted two assists and Semyon Varlamov was solid in goal with 18 saves.

Marian Gaborik scored both goals for the Rangers, who have dropped three of four.
