NBA: Phoenix 111, Houston 105

HOUSTON, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Amare Stoudemire's 23 points and six rebounds led the Phoenix Suns to a 111-105 road win over the Houston Rockets Tuesday.

Jason Richards scored 20 points and veteran playmaker Steve Nash added 12 points and 16 assists for the Suns, who shot a sizzling 51.9 percent from the field.

Carl Landry was 13-of-18 from the field for 27 points to lead the Houston attack. Trevor Ariza added 19.

Phoenix outscored the Rockets 33-23 in the fourth quarter to rally from an 82-78 deficit after three quarters.

Houston failed to convert on three consecutive scoring opportunities late in the game with Phoenix ahead by two points. Channing Frye then hit a layup to put the Suns ahead 103-98 with 1:49 to play and Phoenix held off the Rockets the rest of the way.

Phoenix had used a 13-0 run in the second quarter to whittle down a 49-34 deficit and end the first half trailing 55-52.
