NHL: Los Angeles Kings 2, Tampa Bay 1 (SO)

TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 15 (UPI) -- A shootout goal by Anze Kopitar nailed down a 2-1 win for the Los Angeles Kings over the Tampa Bay Lightning Saturday.

Kopitar was the only skater to score in the shootout and also assisted on the third-period power-play goal by Drew Doughty.

Jonathan Quick stopped 28 of 29 shots in the contest. Tampa Bay's Antero Niittymaki had 29 saves on 30 shots.

Doughty's goal at 7:20 of the third period was the game's first goal. The Lightning responded with 8:21 left in regulation with a goal by Ryan Malone that tied the score 1-1 and forced the overtime.
