NHL: Detroit 7, Anaheim 4

DETROIT, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Detroit scored five goals in the third period Saturday to fend off the stubborn Anaheim Ducks 7-4 at Joe Louis Arena.

Henrik Zetterberg picked up his fourth career hat trick with all three goals in the final period to give Detroit its sixth win in its last six games.

Anaheim scored three times in the wild final period, which began with the Wings hanging on to a 2-1 lead.

The game was tied 2-1 midway through the final period when Zetterberg gave Detroit the lead at 9:10. Zetterberg broke a tie again with a goal 2:02 later and then knocked in an empty-netter as time expired.

Dan Cleary and Brian Rafalski each had a goal and an assist for the Wings. Pavel Datsuk and Darren Helm also scored goals for Detroit.

Ryan Getzlaf had a goal and three assists for Anaheim. Corey Perry, Bobby Ryan and Joffrey Lupul scored the other Ducks goals.

Chris Osgood gave up four goals on 23 shots for Detroit. Jonas Hiller gave up six goals on 36 shots for the Ducks.
