Djokovic gets his fifth title of 2009

PARIS, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Serbia's Novak Djokovic won his second straight tournament and fifth of the year Sunday, outlasting Frenchman Gael Monfils in the Paribas Masters in Paris.

Djokovic's winning score was 6-2, 5-7, 7-6 (7-3).

The title Djokovic's 16th on the ATP Tour. He also won the Swiss Indoors last week and three other events this year.

Monfils was trying for his second title of the year.

Djokovic jumped to a a 4-1 lead in the final set before Monfils caught up. The Serb then won five of the last six points in a tie-breaker.

The match lasted 2 hours, 43 minutes.

Djokovic won $675,000.
