INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Indianapolis went ahead on a Joseph Addai run and escaped with a 20-17 win over Houston Sunday after the Texans' Kris Brown missed a 42-yard field goal attempt.

Addai ran 2 yards for a the go-ahead touchdown with 7:11 remaining. Brown's kick, wide left, came on the game's final play.

Indianapolis (8-0) has won 17 consecutive regular-season games.

Colts' quarterback Peyton Manning completed 34 passes in 50 attempts, amassing 318 yards, including a 7-yard touchdown toss to Addai.

Matt Stover added 22- and 37-yard field goals for Indianapolis.

Houston quarterback Matt Schaub was 32-of-43 for 311 yards, including a 1-yard scoring toss to Ryan Moats, and was intercepted twice.

Steve Slaton ran 1 yard for another score for the Texans (5-4), who had won their previous three games.
