OTTAWA, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Patrice Bergeron scored the winning goal in Boston's 4-3 shootout victory over the Ottawa Senators Saturday.
Bergeron, who had an assist in regulation, was the second Boston shooter and put enough of a move to the right on Senators goalie Brian Elliott for his wrist shot to slither across the goal line.
The score was tied 1-1 until 9:14 of the third period when Michalek scored. His goal was followed about two minutes later by Fisher's unassisted goal that put the Senators ahead 3-1.
Boston scrambled back with a pair of late goals to send the game into overtime. Recchi deflected a Derek Morris shot into the net with 1:28 to play and Krejci tipped in the tying goal with 21.6 seconds left.
