EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Rian Lindell's 47-yard field goal with 2:44 left in overtime Sunday gave the Buffalo Bills a 16-13 win over the New York Jets.

Lindell missed an attempt at the end of regulation play but had made two earlier, from 33 and 25 yards.

Buffalo's other score came on a 37-yard pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick to Lee Evans.

The Jets' Thomas Jones ran 71 yards for a touchdown and Jay Feeley kicked 23 and 41-yard field goals.

Jones ended up with 208 yards rushing on 21 carries.

Fitzpatrick replaced starter Trent Edwards, who suffered a head injury, in the second quarter and ended up with 10 completions for 116 yards.

The Bills are 2-4 and the Jets 3-3.
