NHL: Edmonton 5, Minnesota 2

EDMONTON, Alberta, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Dustin Penner and Gilbert Brule both scored twice Friday in leading Edmonton to a 5-2 decision over Minnesota.

This was the fourth straight road game for the Wild and they have lost them all.

Penner gave Edmonton a 2-0 lead with 8:15 left in the second period and Brule scored on a tip-in with 43 seconds to go in the stanza.

Penner and Brule scored less than 2 minutes apart in the third period, giving them a combined nine goals for the season.

Nikolai Khabibulin made 29 saves to win for the third time in four starts. Josh Harding allowed all five Edmonton goals on 19 shots.

It was the second start of the season for Harding and he has struggled in both of them. He gave up six goals to Los Angeles last week.
