NEW YORK, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin is the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

The four-year veteran from Monmouth College made 10 receptions for a franchise-record 250 yards and two touchdowns in his first career start, and his 60-yard touchdown catch led the Cowboys to a 26-20 overtime win at Kansas City.

Austin's 250 yards are the most ever by a player in his first start, making him one of only three players in NFL history to reach the 200-yard plateau in his first start, joining Arizona's Anquan Boldin (217 yards in 2003) and Miami's Mark Duper (202 in 1983).

Other NFC honors went to Arizona cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (defense) and Carolina punter Jason Baker (special teams).

Rodgers-Cromartie, despite a cast for a broken finger, had a 49-yard interception return for a touchdown against Houston, while Baker's punt inside the 20 yard line set up the game-winning score in the Panthers' 20-17 win over Washington.
