Dolphins running back out for season

DAVIE, Fla., Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Miami Dolphins running back Patrick Cobbs suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee Monday and will miss the rest of the season.

Dolphins Coach Tony Sparano said Tuesday that the three-year veteran was injured on a carry in the fourth quarter of Monday night's 31-27 win over the New York Jets.

Cobbs had six carries for 36 yards, three receptions for 23 yards, and a team-leading 16 kickoff returns for 361 yards this season.
