SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Bengie Molina had four RBI and Pablo Sandoval drove in two runs Tuesday in the San Francisco Giants' 8-4 romp over Arizona.
Sandoval and Molina hit back-to-back homers in the seventh inning to extend San Francisco's lead to 8-3.
The win kept a faint pulse going in Giants' hopes of winning the National League wild card, although they trail National League West rival Colorado by five games.
San Francisco outhit the Diamondbacks 16-7.
Jonathan Sanchez (8-12) gave up three runs on five hits in 5 2/3 innings for the win.
The loss went to Doug Davis (8-14), who lasted four innings, giving up four runs on seven hits and five walks.
Justin Upton launched a home run over the right field wall and into San Francisco Bay to lead Arizona, which lost for the 17th time in its last 23 road games.
