MLB: San Francisco 5, Arizona 4

PHOENIX, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Travis Ishikawa scored on a bases-loaded fielder's choice in the eighth inning Monday and the San Francisco Giants held on for a 5-4 win over Arizona.

Bengie Molina had an RBI and a run scored, Eugenio Velez and Aaron Rowand each drove in a run, and Fred Lewis drove in the game winner for the Giants -- who won for just the second time in their last five games but pulled to within four games of the Colorado Rockies in the NL wild-card chase.

San Francisco starter Barry Zito went 4 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on six hits with three walks and four strikeouts.

Sergio Romo (5-2) got the win in relief and Brian Wilson earned his 35th save.

Justin Upton had two RBI and Mark Reynolds hit his 43rd home run of the year for the Diamondbacks, who committed three errors in their fourth loss in five games.

Arizona starter Billy Buckner went 4 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on six hits with three walks and three strikeouts.

Esmerling Vasquez (3-3) took the loss in relief for the Diamondbacks.
