COLUMBIA, Mo., Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Blaine Gabbert threw three touchdown passes and ran for another Saturday, leading No. 25 Missouri in a 52-12 win over Furman.
Missouri led 42-0 at the break and emptied its bench in the second half.
Gabbert completed 17-of-25 passes for 256 yards and his scoring passes equaled a single-game career high.
He added a 40-yard second-quarter touchdown run.
Lawrence Kendial scored once on 10 carries for 77 yards.
Fellow running backs Derrick Washington and Gilbert Moye also scored once each, while Jared Perry caught a 40-yard first-quarter touchdown pass from fellow wide receiver Danario Alexander for the Tigers (3-0).
They had 30 first downs to 22 for Furman, and held a 525-398 advantage in total offense.
Furman quarterback Jordan Sorrells went 24-for-39 for 250 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Jerodis Williams gained 53 yards on 14 carries and Tersoo Uhaa rushed for a touchdown for the Paladins (2-1).
