Shin, 21, has won three times this year, matching her total from 2008 before she officially joined the LPGA Tour. She leads this year's LPGA money list with nearly $1.5 million. She's also in the lead for both the Louis Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year and Rolex Player of the Year awards.

Shin moved from fifth to second in this week's rankings. Lorena Ochoa is No. 1 but Shin pushed Suzann Pettersen to third, Yani Tseng to fourth and Cristie Kerr to fifth. Each of those golfers were dropped one position in the rankings.

Paula Creamer is ranked sixth while Stanford improved to No. 7, knocking Karrie Webb to eighth. Kim Kyung-in is ninth and Ai Miyazato 10th in the latest rankings.
