COL FB: Penn State 28, Syracuse 7

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Daryll Clark threw three three touchdown passes and Evan Royster scored twice Saturday to lead fifth-ranked Penn State to a 28-7 win over Syracuse.

Clark completed 20-of-31 passes for 240 yards. Royster ran for 41 yards and caught two passes for 61 yards. Graham Zug caught six passes for 79 yards for the Nittany Lions (2-0).

Greg Paulus, a former Duke basketball player starting for Syracuse as a graduate student, was 14-of-20 for 105 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.

The Orange (0-2) dropped its second straight game to a Big Ten opponent.
