MLB: Chicago Cubs 8, Pittsburgh 5

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Koyie Hill and Micah Hoffpauir each drove in two runs Wednesday, powering the Chicago Cubs' 8-5 win over Pittsburgh that capped a three-game sweep.

Hoffpauir hit a solo homer and a sacrifice fly.

Hill's two-run single expanded Chicago's lead to 6-2 with two outs in the top of the seventh.

Four other Cubs also drove in runs.

Winner Carlos Zambrano (8-6) gave up two runs on eight hits and three walks in six innings. He struck out eight as Chicago won for the fourth time in five games.

Carlos Marmol earned his 11th save with a 1-2-3 ninth.

Ronny Cedeno led Pittsburgh with three hits -- one a three-run homer.

Andrew McCutchen added a two-run double for the Pirates, who had just six hits and have lost 12 of 13.

The losing pitcher was starter Kevin Hart (4-6).
