SAN DIEGO, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Kevin Correia and Edward Mujica combined on a four-hit shutout Wednesday, leading San Diego's 7-0 rout of Washington and a three-game sweep.
Correia (10-10) gave up just three hits in 7 2/3 innings with two walks and five strikeouts.
Mujica replaced him after he loaded the bases with two outs in the top of the eighth and ended the threat without a run scoring.
Chase Headley and Adrian Gonzalez had two RBI apiece.
One run scored on Kevin Kouzmanoff's non-RBI groundout in the eighth.
David Eckstein had three hits and Will Venable added two hits and one RBI for the Padres, who have won five of six.
Ryan Zimmerman had two of the four hits for the Nationals, who have lost six straight.
They had not been swept at San Diego since May 13-15, 2002 when they played in Montreal.
Losing pitcher John Lannan (8-10) surrendered five runs in the fifth.
