CINCINNATI, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Brandon Phillips had three hits and three RBI Wednesday, leading Cincinnati to a 5-3 win over Pittsburgh, capping a four-game sweep.

One hit, a solo homer, his 19th this season, broke a 1-1 tie with one out in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Drew Stubbs had three hits and one RBI, while Darnell McDonald had two hits and one RBI for the Reds, who won nine of their last 11 games.

Winner Homer Bailey (5-4) gave up three runs and seven hits in 7 1/3 innings with three walks and eight strikeouts.

Closer Francisco Cordero earned his 30th save, striking out two of the three batters he faced in the ninth.

Pittsburgh's Garrett Jones and Brandon Moss hit solo homers.

Ryan Doumit had two hits and one RBI, and losing pitcher Zach Duke (10-13) had two hits for the Pirates, who have lost seven in a row.
