MLB: Cincinnati 4, Milwaukee 3 (10 inn.)

MILWAUKEE, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- Darnell McDonald doubled home Craig Tatum with two away in the 10th inning Wednesday, lifting the Cincinnati Reds to a 4-3 victory over Milwaukee.

Cincinnati has put together its first three-game winning streak in three months.

Milwaukee took a 3-2 lead in the fifth on a solo homer by Jody Gerut and a two-run shot by Prince Fielder, but Cincinnati tied it in the eighth with the help of one of three errors committed by the Brewers.

With one out in the eighth, Kevin Barker reached first safely and Scott Rolen scored from third on a throwing error by pitcher Claudio Vargas.

The loss went to Mike Burns (3-5), who gave up the double to McDonald in the 10th. McDonald was called up from Class AAA Louisville Tuesday. His game-winning hit was ruled a double, even though left fielder Ryan Braun misplayed the ball and allowed it go get over his head.

A one inning relief stint by Danny Herrera (3-4) brought him the win. Francisco Cordero came on in the bottom of the 10th and survived a one-out single by Fielder to earn his 27th save.
