MLB: Detroit 5, Los Angeles Angels 3

ANAHEIM, Calif., Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Miguel Cabrera had his second consecutive three-hit game for Detroit Tuesday in the Tigers' 5-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels.

Cabrera went 3-for-5, including a home run, and drove in two runs for the Tigers, who have won four of their last six games. Curtis Granderson chipped in with a solo home run for Detroit.

Jarrod Washburn (9-7) got the win after giving up three runs on eight hits over six innings.

John Lackey (8-7) took the loss. He was roughed up for five runs on 11 hits in six-plus innings.

Howie Kendrick's three-run homer in the third inning gave Los Angeles a 3-1 lead, but Granderson and Cabrera tied it with solo shots in the fifth.

Detroit won it with two runs in the seventh when Granderson and Placido Polanco hit back-to-back triples for one run and Magglio Ordonez hit a sacrifice fly that brought Polanco in with the Tigers' fifth run.
