Woods has 65 to lead Buick Open

GRAND BLANC, Mich., Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Tiger Woods shot a 7-under 65 Saturday to take a one-stroke lead over Michael Letzig after three rounds of the Buick Open in Grand Blanc, Mich.

Woods, a three-time winner this season, finished 54 holes at 17-under 199. He has won 15 straight events, and 26 of the last 27 times, when holding at least a share of the 54-hole lead.

Letzig, who led most of the back nine Saturday, hit a poor bunker shot on the 18th and closed with a double-bogey. He wound up with a 4-under 68 for the day and 16-under 200 for the tournament.

Second-round leader John Senden (71) is third at 15-under 201.

Woods sank a 33-foot birdie putt at the par-3 17th to join Letzig at 17-under. Woods played out of a bunker on his final hole of the day.
