MLB: New York Mets 7, Colorado 3

NEW YORK, July 27 (UPI) -- Fernando Tatis had a pinch-hit grand slam to snap an eighth inning tie Monday and propel the New York Mets to a 7-3 win over the Colorado Rockies.

Jeff Francoeur added a solo homer for the Mets, who have scored 29 runs in their last four games. Luis Castillo and David Wright each had two hits and two runs scored for the Mets.

New York starter Oliver Perez allowed three runs and five hits over five innings.

Pedro Feliciano (3-3) struck out two batters in the eighth inning to earn the victory.

Troy Tulowitzki had a two-run homer and Clint Barmes a solo homer for the Rockies.

Ubaldo Jimenez gave up three runs and six hits over seven innings. Juan Rincon (3-2), who loaded the bases in the eighth, took the loss.
