MLB: Washington 13, San Diego 1

WASHINGTON, July 26 (UPI) -- Adam Dunn smacked a grand slam and drove in five runs Saturday, helping Washington record a 13-1 rout of San Diego after a rain delay of more than three hours.

Ryan Zimmerman belted a two-run homer and an RBI double, Cristian Guzman had two hits and one RBI, Nyjer Morgan had four of Washington's 12 hits and Josh Willingham had two hits and one RBI.

Nick Johnson had two RBI while Zimmerman and Guzman scored four runs apiece for the Nationals, who had lost eight of 10.

Washington pitchers J.D. Martin, Tyler Clippard, Logan Kensing, Joe Beimel and Mike MacDougal combined on a six-hitter, with Clippard (1-0) getting the win. He walked one batter and fanned seven in four innings.

San Diego scored on Kevin Kouzmanoff's eighth-inning single.

The losing pitcher was starter Tim Stauffer (0-2).

The Padres have lost six of seven.
