MLB: Texas 4, Boston 2

ARLINGTON, Texas, July 21 (UPI) -- Hank Blalock hit a two-run single for the winning scores Tuesday in the Texas Rangers' 4-2 victory over the Boston Red Sox.

David Murphy and Josh Hamilton also drove in runs for the Rangers, who have won three consecutive games.

Winning pitcher Tommy Hunter (2-1) scattered four hits and a run over six innings. C.J. Wilson gave up a run but got the final three outs for a save.

Kevin Youkilis and Mike Lowell each drove in a run for the Red Sox, who have lost four straight games and have fallen into second place in the American League East behind the New York Yankees.

Josh Beckett (11-4) gave up four runs and seven hits in eight innings for the loss.
