MLB: New York Mets 4, Cincinnati 0

NEW YORK, July 11 (UPI) -- Johan Santana threw seven scoreless innings Saturday, leading the New York Mets to a 4-0 win over the Cincinnati Reds.

Santana (10-7) got the win after giving up five hits with a walk and five strikeouts. Pedro Feliciano and closer Francisco Rodriguez finished the shutout.

Jeff Francoeur, playing his first game since being acquired from Atlanta for Ryan Church, had two hits and two RBI. Omir Santos had three hits and one RBI, Luis Castillo drove in a run and Angel Pagan had two hits for the Mets, who won just the second time in eight games.

Six batters had one hit apiece for the Reds, who lost right fielder Jay Bruce to a fractured right wrist in the first inning when he tried to make a diving catch on a pop fly by David Wright.

Team officials said Bruce could miss six weeks.

The losing pitcher was starter Johnny Cueto (8-6). He went five innings, allowing four runs on nine hits with two walks and four strikeouts.
