MLB: Atlanta 7, Baltimore 2

BALTIMORE, June 12 (UPI) -- Brian McCann's four hits and two RBI Friday led the Atlanta Braves to a 7-2 inter-league victory against the Baltimore Orioles.

Yunel Escobar hit a two-run first-inning homer and scored three times, while Nate McLouth added two hits for the Braves, who have split their last four games.

In his first major league victory, winner Tommy Hanson (1-0) allowed two runs and nine hits in 5 2/3 innings with five walks and five strikeouts.

Baltimore's Adam Jones and Aubrey Huff had one RBI apiece. Matt Wieters, Nick Markakis and Oscar Salazar all had two hits for the Orioles, who have lost three in a row.

Losing pitcher Jason Berken (1-3) gave up four runs and eight hits in 4 1/3 innings.

The Braves have won six consecutive series from Baltimore and are 15-4 against the Orioles over that span.
