MLB: Colorado 5, Milwaukee 4

MILWAUKEE, June 11 (UPI) -- A two-run eighth-inning single by Paul Phillips Thursday helped the Colorado Rockies secure a 5-4 victory against the Milwaukee Brewers.

The win gave the Rockies a franchise-equaling record eight straight victories on the road.

Phillips' only hit of the game came with one out in the top of the eighth. Ian Stewart and Troy Tulowitzki had two hits and one RBI apiece.

Ryan Spilborghs had two runs and two hits, while Stewart scored three times for the Rockies, whose last loss was 6-4 June 3 at Houston.

Winner Aaron Cook (5-3) gave up an earned run and seven hits in six innings with one walk and seven strikeouts.

Huston Street earned his 12th save despite giving up Ryan Braun's three-run ninth-inning homer.

Milwaukee's Corey Hart hit a pinch seventh-inning sacrifice fly. Braun had three hits and two others had two hits for the Brewers, who have lost four in a row.

The losing pitcher was starter Yovani Gallardo (6-3).
