Three tied when rain causes suspension

NEWPORT, Wales, June 6 (UPI) -- Heavy rain before the start of Saturday's third round forced a long delay at the Wales Open and play was suspended because of darkness.

Jeppe Huldahl had a 3-under 68 to share the 54-hole lead at 5-under 208 with Nick Dougherty (70) and Ignacio Garrido (71). Despite the six-hour delay just one threesome did not finish.

Richie Ramsay, who led entering the third round, was 3-over for his round Saturday and was 4-under after finishing 16 holes. Simon Dyson (70) and Paul Waring (70) finished at 4-under.

There was more bad weather forecast overnight and into early Sunday, so there is a chance the event could be shortened to 54 holes.
