Dan Cleary, Valtteri Filppula, Niklas Kronwall, Brian Rafalski and Henrik Zetterberg scored for the Red Wings, who rebounded from a pair of 4-2 setbacks in Pittsburgh. Detroit needs one more win in the best-of seven series to become the first NHL team to repeat as champions since they did it in 1997-1998.

Pittsburgh hosts Detroit Tuesday in Game 6.

Detroit's star forward Pavel Datsyuk returned after a seven-game absence with an injured foot. The Hart Trophy finalist collected two assists in his first action since suffering a swollen foot in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals against Chicago.

Pittsburgh goalie Marc-Andre Fleury allowed five goals on 21 shots. Mathieu Garon blocked all eight shots he faced in relief.
