MLB: Pittsburgh 6, Houston 4

HOUSTON, June 6 (UPI) -- Paul Maholm worked seven innings Saturday to end a seven-start winless streak in the Pittsburgh Pirates' 6-4 victory over the Houston Astros.

Maholm (4-2) gave up four runs on eight hits with one walk.

Matt Capps earned his 13th save of the season with a scoreless ninth.

Jack Wilson and Brandon Moss had RBI doubles and Andrew McCutchen hit a two-run single for Pittsburgh, which won for a fourth time in its last five games.

Hunter Pence homered and tripled with two RBI for Houston. Miguel Tejada had three hits and scored twice and Carlos Lee had two RBI for the Astros.

Loser Roy Oswalt (2-3) gave up six runs on nine hits and one walk over six innings.
