VIRGINIA WATER, England, June 1 (UPI) -- Steve Stricker returned to the Top 10 in the men's world golf rankings this week with his victory at the Crowne Plaza Invitational in Texas.
Stricker won a three-way playoff on the second extra hole Sunday, a victory that was his first on the PGA Tour since August 2007 and second since January 2001. It moved Stricker up five places in the latest world golf rankings to No. 8.
Geoff Ogilvy went up one spot to fifth, switching places with Henrik Stenson, Padraig Harrington dropped from ninth to 10th and Camilo Villegas went from 10th to 11th in the other changes in the Top 10.
Tiger Woods remains the top-ranked player in the world with Phil Mickelson second, Paul Casey third and Sergio Garcia fourth.
After Ogilvy and Stenson are seventh-ranked Kenny Perry, Stricker, No. 9 Vijay Singh and Harrington.
