NHL: Detroit 6, Chicago 1

CHICAGO, May 24 (UPI) -- Detroit's Marian Hossa and Henrik Zetterberg each scored twice and the Red Wings ripped Chicago 6-1 Sunday for a 3-1 lead in their playoff series.

The defending Stanley Cup champion Wings are a win away from returning to the cup series. Game 5 will be in Detroit Wednesday.

Valtteri Filppula and Johan Franzen got the other goals for Detroit in the one-sided Western Conference win.

Chris Osgood blocked 18 shots for the Wings in two periods. Ty Conklin added nine saves in the third.

Jonathan Toews scored for Chicago.

Blackhawks goaltender Cristobal Huet gave up five of the Detroit goals and finished with 21 saves. Backup goalie Corey Crawford allowed a goal and blocked six shots.
