MLB: Atlanta 8, Colorado 1

ATLANTA, May 19 (UPI) -- Jair Jurrjens pitched seven innings of one-run ball in the Atlanta Braves' 8-1 victory over the Colorado Rockies.

Jurrjens (4-2) scattered three hits and three walks while striking out eight for the Braves, who scored only five total runs in their previous three games.

Casey Kotchman had three hits and three RBI, Kelly Johnson also had three hits and scored twice. Jordan Schafer had a two-run single for Atlanta, which out-hit the Rockies, 13-3.

Jason Hammel (0-3) took the loss after allowing six runs on 10 hits for Colorado, which has lost five of its last seven games. Troy Tulowitzki had the Rockies' only RBI.
