MLB: Chicago White Sox 7, Cleveland 4

CLEVELAND, May 12 (UPI) -- Jim Thome hit two two-run homers Tuesday to power the Chicago White Sox to a 7-4 victory over the Cleveland Indians.

Corky Miller added a two-run single for the White Sox.

Clayton Richard made his first start of the season for the White Sox and gave up four runs on six hits and three walks in 3 1/3 innings. The Chicago bullpen followed with 5 2/3 scoreless innings, D.J. Carrasco (1-0) working two innings for the win.

Cleveland starter Jeremy Sowers (0-2) allowed five runs on seven hits and three walks in four-plus innings.

Asdrubal Cabrera was 2-for-5 with an RBI for the Indians, who lost for the fifth time in their last six games.
