SAN FRANCISCO, May 3 (UPI) -- Rich Aurilia's 10th-inning RBI single Sunday gave the San Francisco Giants a 1-0 victory against the Colorado Rockies.
The game-winning hit broke up a scoreless battle with one out in the bottom of the 10th, scoring Steve Holm from third base. Holm started the game-winning rally with a leadoff walk and went to second on a sacrifice bunt by Randy Winn.
Emmanuel Burriss and Fred Lewis had two hits apiece for the Giants, who had won each of their previous four home series.
The winner was reliever Brandon Medders (1-1), the last of four San Francisco pitchers.
Starter Barry Zito gave up just two hits in seven scoreless innings.
Dexter Fowler had a double and Todd Helton and Clint Barmes each had a single for the Rockies, who failed to complete a three-game sweep.
The losing pitcher was reliever Manuel Corpas (0-3).
Starter Jason Hammel surrendered six hits with one strikeout and two walks in six scoreless innings.
