BOSTON, April 20 (UPI) -- Boston's Dustin Pedroia led a 15-hit assault on Baltimore pitching Monday and the Red Sox extended their win streak to five games, crushing the Orioles 12-1.
Pedroia had four hits, drove in three runs and scored three times. David Ortiz and Mike Lowell each contributed two RBI, and Jason Varitek hit a solo homer.

Justin Masterson (1-0) earned the win, allowing a run and four hits in 5 1/3 innings.
Cesar Izturis singled in a run for Baltimore, which has dropped five straight contests.
Mark Hendrickson (1-2) worked five innings and took the loss, giving up three runs and five hits.
