MLB: Cleveland 5, Kansas City 4

KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 15 (UPI) -- Travis Hafner's two hits, one RBI and a run scored Wednesday helped the Cleveland Indians edge the Kansas City Royals, 5-4, their second win in nine games.

His RBI double capped a three-run seventh inning rally and knocked in the eventual game-winning run.

Grady Sizemore, Mark DeRosa, Ryan Garko and Shin Soo Choo also had one RBI each, while Sizemore and Soo Choo added two hits each for the Indians, who had lost two of three.

The winner was reliever Jensen Lewis (1-0).

Closer Kerry Wood earned his first save by retiring all three batters in the bottom of the ninth.

Kansas City got Mike Jacobs' eighth-inning solo homer and one RBI each from two others.

Willie Blomquist had two of the seven hits for the Royals, who had a three-game winning streak snapped.

The losing pitcher was Kyle Farnsworth (0-2) after he gave up three runs but just one out in the seventh.
