NHL: Phoenix 5, Anaheim 4 (SO)

GLENDALE, Ariz., April 12 (UPI) -- Viktor Tikhonov's goal in the fourth round of the shootout Saturday lifted the Phoenix Coyotes to a 5-4 win over Anaheim.

The Ducks questioned whether Tikhonov illegally double-touched the puck to push it past the goal line but officials determined the video was inconclusive so the goal was allowed to stand.

Ilya Bryzgalov let in four goals on 35 shots but still got the win.

Teemu Selanne had a goal and assist for the Ducks (42-33-7), who lost a chance to gain ground on Columbus in the battle for the sixth seed in the West. The Blue Jackets fell to Minnesota but still lead the Ducks by one point.

Anaheim has 91 points, one better than St. Louis, which concludes its regular season Sunday at Colorado.
